Marie Capesius is a photographer who studied at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie and has been photographing foodculture days events since 2017. PIONIRA opted for a spontaneous interview during the rehearsal dinner of artist and researcher Grace Denis in collaboration with agro-ecologist Praz Bonjour - see our previous interview with them, part of this series.

Marie reflects on many years of practice together with foodculturedays, what moves her in photography and with food. It was a pleasure to speak to her upon such short notice.

The video was exceptionally shot with only phone gear and hence more background noises and surrounding atmospheres can be heard and seen. Thank you, Marie, for sharing some insights of your photography practice with us – it was a pleasure to work next to you during these days in Vevey.
